This is more than a cookbook! It's a soundtrack of reinvention, flavor, friendship, and FUN!

Las Vegas set the stage in the Arts District at Petite Bohème for an evening that felt both intimate and electric as pop icon Tiffany and chef Alicia Shevetone introduced Pop Life: The Ultimate 80s Kitchen Encore. The launch brought together music, memory, and modern flavor, unfolding as an immersive experience that blended food, culture, and a distinctly 80s energy.

For Tiffany, the moment arrives at a time of renewed cultural relevance. Her hit song I Think We’re Alone Now has found a new audience through Stranger Things on Netflix, introducing her music to a generation that did not grow up in the 1980s but feels deeply connected to its sound and spirit.
“It definitely inspired Pop Life,” she shared. “Now because of Stranger Things, kids are like, ‘Oh my gosh, you’re the girl from the 80s.’ I love it.”
There is something about the 1980s that continues to resonate across generations. The music, the fashion, and the feeling of that era have found new life, drawing in audiences through both nostalgia and discovery. “There was something very magical about the 80s,” she said. “And now people are craving that again.”
That sense of nostalgia is at the heart of Pop Life, though the book is not about looking back. It is about creating new moments. Inspired by Tiffany’s life on tour, the cookbook blends global flavors with the comfort foods of the 80s, reimagined for how people gather and eat today.
“Pop Life is really about connection,” she said. “It’s the food I grew up loving, the flavors I discovered on the road, and the moments that stayed with me. We wanted to build something that brings people together, whether you’re cooking at home, hosting friends, or celebrating life a little louder.”

That philosophy came to life throughout the evening at Petite Bohème, where guests moved through a space filled with signature bites from the book, a curated 80s pop soundtrack, and an atmosphere that felt both nostalgic and modern. “I want to do more events like this,” she added. “We feed you first, and then we go out and rock your face.”
The concept feels natural for an artist whose career has always been rooted in connection. The cookbook becomes an extension of that, encouraging people to gather, share, and create memories of their own. “I’m encouraging people to have fun and come together,” she said. “Now they’re going to be making these recipes for their kids.”
When it comes to the dish that best represents her, Tiffany points to something deeply personal. Her signature All This Thyme sausage roll.

The recipe reflects her life today as much as her past. Having spent time in the United Kingdom and now preparing to marry a Brit, the sausage roll became a favorite that carried both comfort and meaning. What began as a simple tradition grew into something she shared with friends and eventually with her fans.
“I got the approval,” she said with a smile. “And I asked my fans what they thought and they loved it. So I told Chef Alicia this has to be in the cookbook, and it has to be called All This Thyme.”
As Tiffany brings the spirit of the 80s to life through music and storytelling, chef Alicia Shevetone translates that same nostalgia onto the plate.

Her approach is rooted in familiarity but driven by reinvention. “I’m a fan of mashups,” she explained. “I love combining food techniques with something from a common memory.”
Rather than simply recreating classic dishes, Alicia rethinks them. She takes the foundation of something people already know and builds on it with technique, flavor, and presentation. “If you take the concept and method of how to make something, and then think about what you actually love to eat, you can create something completely new,” she said.
One example is her take on deviled eggs. A familiar dish becomes something entirely unexpected. She layers it with filet mignon, a perfectly poached shrimp, and fresh chive, transforming it into something refined and elevated. “All of a sudden you have an experience,” she said. “Something that feels new and unexpected.”
This balance between comfort and creativity runs throughout Pop Life. Each recipe carries a sense of 80s nostalgia while offering a fresh, modern perspective.
Chef Alicia feels the recipe most reflective of the decade is one rooted in childhood memory. BBQ Chicken French Bread Pizza. “It comes from being a kid,” she said. “When my mom didn’t want to cook, she would make Stouffer’s French bread pizza, and that felt like a treat.”
Even though her mother was an incredible cook, those moments stood out in a different way. Alicia paired that memory with another iconic influence from the 1980s, drawing inspiration from Wolfgang Puck’s barbecue chicken pizza. “I took those two ideas and brought them together,” she said. The result is a dish that feels playful and familiar while still grounded in technique and intention. It reflects the spirit of the book as a whole.

Pop Life: The Ultimate 80s Kitchen Encore is not just a cookbook. It is an experience rooted in music, food, and memory. Much like Tiffany’s resurgence through Netflix and Stranger Things, the book invites a new generation to rediscover the 1980s in a way that feels both authentic and entirely their own.
In Las Vegas, that vision came to life in real time. Guests gathered, sharing bites from the cookbook before celebrating Chef Alicia Shevetone’s birthday with a custom cake. It was a moment that captured something timeless, the simple joy of coming together over food and music. Some things never go out of style. They just evolve, finding new meaning with each generation.
