A Parisian Morning Promenade: A Dozen of Brunches Worth Waking Up For

This morning, I put on my favorite sport dress, slipped into my new white sneakers, and stepped out with one mission: to share with you the most mouthwatering, soul-lifting breakfast and brunch spots in all of Paris' neighborhood that you will be able to find in our Publisher's Paris City E-Guide soon to be released next Fall 2026. The sun was peeking behind the rooftops, the Seine shimmered, and as the bells of Saint-Sulpice chimed faintly in the distance, I set off on a delicious Fall promenade — arrondissement by arrondissement.

So grab a coffee, settle in, and let me take you on a brunch-lover’s dream tour across Paris.

📍1st Arrondissement – Where Elegance Begins

I began my morning near the Palais Royal at Marcelle (22 Rue Montmartre, 75001 | www.restaurantmarcelle.fr). The scent of cinnamon and fresh fruit lured me in. The white-washed walls, soft wooden accents, and stacks of magazines made it feel like brunching in a friend’s chic Parisian flat. I had their famous avocado toast with poached eggs and sipped a golden turmeric latte. It was a gentle start to the day — the kind Audrey Hepburn might approve of, had she traded croissants for kale.

Just a short stroll away is Wild & the Moon – Saint-Honoré (19 Place du Marché Saint-Honoré, 75001 | www.wildandthemoon.fr). Their acai bowls and vegan banana bread made with tiger nut flour are as energizing as the first light filtering through the Louvre’s glass pyramid. You can almost feel the pulse of Saint-Honoré fashionistas fueling up before a shoot.

📍2nd Arrondissement – A Taste of New York in Paris

In the heart of Sentier, I stopped at Sunday in Soho (7 Rue Saint-Marc, 75002 | https://www.instagram.com/sunday_in_soho/). The brick walls and leafy greens inside were an ode to Manhattan lofts. Their fluffy ricotta pancakes and iced matcha felt like a hug — perhaps what Carrie Bradshaw would order if she lived off Rue Réaumur.

Just a few minutes away is Immersion Paris (106 Rue Montmartre, 75002 | www.immersionparis.fr), where Parisians queue religiously for brunch. I met two expats from Montreal who swore the truffle scrambled eggs reminded them of Sunday mornings back home, only better — because, well, Paris.

📍3rd Arrondissement – Le Marais, Le Magnifique

In the Marais, the air smells of fresh bread and warm stone. At Café Berry (10 Rue Chapon, 75003 | www.cafeberryparis.com), I met a student from Argentina sketching a plate of their vegan chocolate tart. The café has an eco-chic vibe, and their oat milk cappuccinos are just divine.

Next, a quick jaunt took me to Ob-La-Di (54 Rue de Saintonge, 75003 | www.facebook.com/ObLaDiParis), a tiny turquoise gem with a vintage soul. I sat by the window, watching cyclists pass as I nibbled on banana bread with tahini frosting.

If you’re feeling adventurous, swing by Wild & The Moon – Charlot (55 Rue Charlot, 75003), just around the corner. I grabbed a moon milk and almond butter toast and felt instantly restored, like the Parisians who sip here post-yoga.

📍5th Arrondissement – A Stroll Through the Latin Quarter

Just across the Seine, I arrived at Kozy Notre Dame (6 Rue du Petit Pont, 75005 | www.kozy.fr). From my table, I could glimpse the cathedral’s towers. Their shakshuka came sizzling in a tiny copper pan — the perfect mix of spice and comfort.

Down Boulevard Saint-Germain, Loulou Friendly Diner (90 Boulevard Saint-Germain, 75005 | www.louloufriendlydiner.com) welcomed me with a cheery, Down Under attitude. The Aussie pancakes here are pillowy clouds of heaven — a favorite among American expats and French film students alike.

📍8th Arrondissement – Brunch with a Dash of Glamour

Next, I treated myself to a luxurious ending at La Cuisine at Le Royal Monceau (37 Avenue Hoche, 75008 Paris | www.leroyalmonceau.com). Between the sparkling chandeliers and buttery pastries, I could almost hear Edith Piaf humming nearby. Their brunch buffet is legendary — oysters, pâtisserie, and freshly pressed juices, all wrapped in five-star service.

📍10th Arrondissement – Canal Mornings and Bohemian Brunch

North toward Canal Saint-Martin, I landed at Oni Coffee Shop (10 Boulevard Saint-Martin, 75010 | www.onicoffeeshop.fr). There’s a calm elegance here — minimalist interiors, exquisite flat whites, and a playlist that soothes.

Later, I ducked into Immersion – République (8 Rue Lucien Sampaix, 75010) to discover their famous maple butter toast — an edible masterpiece I’ll dream of for weeks.

📍11th Arrondissement – For the Trendsetters

In Bastille, I visited Kafkaf (7 Rue Keller, 75011 Paris | thehungryfamily.com/kafkaf). Think North African brunch meets boho Paris. The hummus is whipped like silk, and their rose latte is as photogenic as the tiled floor. I met a musician from Lisbon who swears by their feta-stuffed pancakes.

📍18th Arrondissement – Montmartre’s Brunch Romance

Winding through the cobbled steps of Montmartre, I stopped at Kozy Montmartre (5 bis Rue La Vieuville, 75018 | www.kozy.fr). The views of Sacré-Cœur alone are worth the visit — but so is the matcha granola bowl with fresh berries.

Finally nearby, The Hardware Société (10 Rue Lamarck, 75018 Paris | www.facebook.com/hardwaresocieteparis) feels like a Melbourne café that moved to Paris and never left. Their baked eggs in tomato ragu, served in pastel ceramic dishes, made me fall in love — with brunch, and maybe with Paris all over again.

Et voilà…

As I walked home along the Seine, the Eiffel Tower glowing in the dusk, I thought of all the flavors, textures, and stories I had tasted. Brunch in Paris isn’t just a meal — it’s a ritual, a rhythm, a reason to gather and savor the art of slowing down.

So next time you find yourself in the City of Light, let your taste buds lead the way. These spots aren’t just cafés; they are love letters to mornings, to good food, and to Paris itself.

🗞️ P.S. If you visit any of these places, send me a comment in here! I want to know what dish stole your heart.
